The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." On 29 May 1741 [her father] Francis Seymour-Conway 1st Marquess Hertford (age 22) and [her mother] Isabella Fitzroy Countess Hertford (age 14) were married. She the daughter of Charles Fitzroy 2nd Duke Grafton (age 57) and Henrietta Somerset Duchess Grafton 1690-1726. She a great granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 01 Aug 1744 Anne Seymour-Conway Marchioness Drogheda was born to Francis Seymour-Conway 1st Marquess Hertford (age 26) and Isabella Fitzroy Countess Hertford (age 17). She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

In Aug 1750 [her father] Francis Seymour-Conway 1st Marquess Hertford (age 32) was created 1st Earl Hertford, 1st Viscount Beauchamp. [her mother] Isabella Fitzroy Countess Hertford (age 23) by marriage Countess Hertford.

On 28 Oct 1758 (age 57) died at sea whilst travelling between Holyhead and Dublin. His son [her future husband]  (age 28) succeeded 6th Earl Drogheda, 8th Viscount Moore of Drogheda, 8th Baron Moore of Mellefont in Louth.

On 15 Feb 1766 (age 35) and Anne Seymour-Conway Marchioness Drogheda (age 21) were married. She the daughter of Francis Seymour-Conway 1st Marquess Hertford (age 47) and Isabella Fitzroy Countess Hertford (age 39). He the son of Edward Moore 5th Earl Drogheda 1701-1758 and Sarah Ponsonby. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 23 Aug 1770 [her son]  was born to [her husband]  (age 40) and Anne Seymour-Conway Marchioness Drogheda (age 26). He a great x 3 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

In 1774 [her son] Henry Seymour Moore was born to [her husband]  (age 43) and Anne Seymour-Conway Marchioness Drogheda (age 29). He a great x 3 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 10 Nov 1782 [her mother] Isabella Fitzroy Countess Hertford (age 56) died.

On 04 Nov 1784 Anne Seymour-Conway Marchioness Drogheda (age 40) died.

In Jul 1791 [her former husband]  (age 61) was created 1st Marquess Drogheda. Anne Seymour-Conway Marchioness Drogheda by marriage Marchioness Drogheda.

On 22 Dec 1822 [her former husband]  (age 92) died. His son [her son]  (age 52) succeeded 2nd Marquess Drogheda, 7th Earl Drogheda, 9th Viscount Moore of Drogheda, 9th Baron Moore of Mellefont in Louth.
