In 1466 [her father] Henry Stafford 2nd Duke of Buckingham (age 11) and [her mother] Catherine Woodville Duchess Buckingham and Bedford (age 8) were married. She by marriage Duchess of Buckingham. See Woodville Marriages. She the daughter of [her grandfather] Richard Woodville 1st Earl Rivers (age 61) and [her grandmother] Jacquetta of Luxemburg Duchess Bedford (age 51).
Around 1483 Anne Stafford Countess Huntingdon was born to [her father] Henry Stafford 2nd Duke of Buckingham (age 28) and [her mother] Catherine Woodville Duchess Buckingham and Bedford (age 25).
On 13th June 1483 Richard, Duke of Gloucester (age 30), [future King Richard III] held a Council meeting at the Tower of London [Map] attended by William Hastings 1st Baron Hastings (age 52), Cardinal John Morton (age 63), Archbishop Thomas Rotherham (age 59) and [her father] Henry Stafford 2nd Duke of Buckingham (age 28). During the course of the meeting Richard accused William Hastings 1st Baron Hastings, Cardinal John Morton and Archbishop Thomas Rotherham of treasonable conspiracy with the [her aunt] Queen (age 46).
William Hastings 1st Baron Hastings was summarily beheaded at Tower Green, Tower of London [Map]. He was buried in North Aisle St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle [Map] next to King Edward IV of England. His son Edward (age 16) succeeded 2nd Baron Hastings.
Cardinal John Morton and Archbishop Thomas Rotherham were arrested.
On 2nd November 1483 [her father] Henry Stafford 2nd Duke of Buckingham (age 29) was beheaded in Salisbury Marketplace [Map] for his part in the rebellion. Duke of Buckingham forfeit. His son [her brother] Edward (age 5) succeeded 8th Earl Stafford, 9th Baron Stafford.
In 1485 [her brother] Edward Stafford 3rd Duke of Buckingham (age 6) was restored 3rd Duke of Buckingham.
On 28th October 1485 [her step-father] Jasper Tudor 1st Duke Bedford (age 53) was created 1st Duke Bedford by Henry VII (age 28) for having supported Henry's claim to the throne. [her mother] Catherine Woodville Duchess Buckingham and Bedford (age 27) by marriage Duchess Bedford.

The executors of her father Henry Percy 4th Earl of Northumberland, who had been hanged by rebels during the Northern Rebellion earlier in the year, having paid King Henry VII of England and Ireland (age 32) £4000 for the privilege. His father, [her father] Henry Stafford 2nd Duke of Buckingham, had been hanged for treason in 1483. She the daughter of Henry Percy 4th Earl of Northumberland and Maud Herbert Countess Northumberland. In 1510 William Compton (age 28) was involved in a public row with [her brother] Edward Stafford 3rd Duke of Buckingham (age 31) over his affair with the Duke's married sister Anne Stafford Countess Huntingdon (age 27). Some speculate that she, Anne, was having an affair with King Henry VIII's (age 18) with Compton acting as go-between. Her husband [her husband] George Hastings 1st Earl Huntingdon (age 23) sent her to convent. William Compton took the sacrament to prove that he had not committed adultery. Some have speculated that her affair with Henry VIII continued after 1510 and that he, Henry, may be the father of her son [her son] Francis Hastings 2nd Earl Huntingdon especially in view her being second in the list of gifts given in the 1513 New Years Day Gift Giving with a gift of a cup with a gilt cover weighing 30¾ oz (only second to the Archbishop of Canterbury).

Around 1514 [her daughter] Mary Hastings was born to [her husband] George Hastings 1st Earl Huntingdon (age 27) and Anne Stafford Countess Huntingdon (age 31) at Berwick on Tweed, Northumberland [Map]. She married 1526 her third cousin Thomas Berkeley 6th Baron Berkeley, son of Thomas Berkeley 5th Baron Berkeley and Eleanor Constable Baroness Berkeley.
In 1514 [her son] Francis Hastings 2nd Earl Huntingdon was born to [her husband] George Hastings 1st Earl Huntingdon (age 27) and Anne Stafford Countess Huntingdon (age 31) at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. He married 25th June 1532 his second cousin once removed Catherine Pole Countess Huntingdon, daughter of Henry Pole 1st Baron Montagu and Jane Neville Baroness Montagu, and had issue.

The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

Around 1521 [her son] Edward Hastings 1st Baron Hastings of Loughborough was born to [her husband] George Hastings 1st Earl Huntingdon (age 34) and Anne Stafford Countess Huntingdon (age 38) at Loughborough.
On 17th May 1521 [her brother] Edward Stafford 3rd Duke of Buckingham (age 43) was beheaded at Tower Hill [Map]. Duke of Buckingham, Earl Stafford and Baron Stafford forfeit.
He was executed for no specific reason other than his having a significant amount of Plantagenet blood and was, therefore, considered a threat by Henry VIII (age 29). He was posthumously attainted by Act of Parliament on 31 July 1523, disinheriting his children. He was buried at St Peter's Church, Britford [Map].

Will of Sir William Compton, made on 8 March 1522, 14 Henry VIII. Desires to be buried at Compton Wynyates, Warwickshire [Map] in Warwickshire, beside his ancestors: That is if his wife (age 22) die before he return home from his journey, she be afterwards brought to Compton and buried there. Bequeaths to his wife movables at Bettyschorne, and at the great park of Windsor, and the plate which belonged to Francis Cheyny, "my predecessor." If his wife be delivered of a son, bequeaths to him all his household stuff at Compton, with the plate which was given him by the French king in a schedule. His wife to have the control of it till the child be of age. If he have a son, bequeaths to each of his daughters 1,000 marks for their marriages, and 100 marks in plate. Wills that 40 pair of vestments be made of one suit, to be distributed to the parish churches in the counties of Warwick and Worcester, adjoining to Compton. All his apparel to be used in making vestments and other works of charity. Bequeaths to the abbey of Winchcomb his wedding gown of tynsen satin, to make a vestment that they may pray for the souls of his ancestors. Wills his executors to release to the monastery of Denny all the debts they owe him, and bequeaths to them £10 for an obit. Bequeaths goods to the value of 200 marks to be distributed to poor householders, and to the marriages of poor maids in the counties of Warwick and Worcester. Wills that a tomb of alabaster be prepared for his father, with his arms graven upon it. Bequeaths to the King (age 30) his little chest of ivory with gilt lock, "and a chest bourde under the same, and a pair of tables upon it," with all the jewels and treasure enclosed, now in his wife's custody; also "certain specialties to the sum of 1,000 marks, which I have of Sir Thomas Bullen (age 45), knight," for money lent to him. Wills that his children have their plate on coming to their full ages; i.e., on the males coming to the age of twenty-one, and the females to the age of eighteen.

Found that Richard Broke, serjeant-at-law, [Walter Rodney] [Names in brackets crossed out], William Dyngley and John Dyngley, now surviving, with [Sir Rob. Throgmerton and William Tracy,]* deceased, were seized of the manors of Totenham, Pembrokes, Bruses, Daubeneys and Mokkyngs, with lands in Tottenham, Edelmeton and Enfeld, to Compton's use; and that George Earl of Shrewsbury (age 60), Henry Earl of Essex, John Bourchier Lord Bernes (age 61), [Sir Rob. Ratclyf,]* Rob. Brudenell (age 67), justice of the King's Bench, Richard Sacheverell (age 61) [and Thomas Brokesby],* now surviving, with [Sir Ralph Shyrley,]* deceased, were seized of the manor of Fyncheley and lands in Fyncheley and Hendon to his use. His son, Peter Compton (age 5), is his heir, and is six years old and over.

On 30th June 1528 William Compton (age 46) died of sweating sickness. His son Peter Compton (age 5) became a ward of Cardinal Thomas Wolsey (age 55).. In his will he left Anne Stafford Countess Huntingdon (age 45) a life interest in property in Leicestershire and founded a chantry where prayers would be said daily for her soul.
