Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

In 1669 Bishop Edmund Gibson was born in Bampton.
In 1692 Bishop Edmund Gibson (age 23) published an edition of the Saxon Chronicle with a Latin translation, indices and notes, and later a similar translation of the Lindsey Chronicle.
John Evelyn's Diary. 10 Mar 1695. The new edition of Camden's "Britannia" was now published (by Bishop Gibson (age 26)), with great additions; those to Surrey were mine, so that I had one presented to me. Dr. Gale (age 60) showed me a MS. of some parts of the New Testament in vulgar Latin, that had belonged to a monastery in the North of Scotland, which he esteemed to be about eight hundred years old; there were some considerable various readings observable, as in John i., and genealogy of St. Luke.
In 1716 Bishop Edmund Gibson (age 47) was appointed In Bishop of Lincoln.
In 1723 Bishop Edmund Gibson (age 54) was consecrated in Bishop of London.
In 1727 [his daughter] Anne Gibson was born to Bishop Edmund Gibson (age 58).
On 06 Sep 1748 Bishop Edmund Gibson (age 79) died. He was buried in All Saints Church, Fulham.
