Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. This book presents a new translation of that letter, with additional material from other contemporary sources such as Letters, Hall's and Wriothesley's Chronicles, the pamphlets of Wynkyn the Worde, the Memorial of George Constantyne, the Portuguese Letter and the Baga de Secrets, all of which are provided in Appendices.

Biography of Bishop John Hinchliffe 1731-1794

Bishop John Hinchliffe and Elizabeth Crew Countess Arran were married. The difference in their ages was 52 years; she, unusually, being older than him.

In 1731 Bishop John Hinchliffe was born.

In 1764 Bishop John Hinchliffe (age 33) was appointed tutor to William Cavendish 5th Duke Devonshire (age 16).

In 1769 Bishop John Hinchliffe (age 38) was appointed Bishop of Peterborough.

In 1788 Bishop John Hinchliffe (age 57) was appointed Dean of Durham.

On 11th January 1794 Bishop John Hinchliffe (age 63) died. He was buried in Peterborough Cathedral [Map].
