On 11th May 1860 Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet was born to George Jessel (age 36).

On 21st March 1883 [his father] George Jessel (age 59) died.

On 25th May 1883 Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet (age 23) was created 1st Baronet Jessel of Ladham House in Kent in honour of his father [his father] George Jessel, who had died two months before.

In 1890 Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet (age 29) and Edith Goldsmid Lady Jessel were married. She by marriage Lady Jessel of Ladham House in Kent.

On 28th May 1891 [his son] George Jessel 2nd Baronet was born to Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet (age 31) and [his wife] Edith Goldsmid Lady Jessel.

On 21st February 1896 [his son] Richard Hugh Jessel was born to Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet (age 35) and [his wife] Edith Goldsmid Lady Jessel.

In 1903 Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet (age 42) was appointed High Sheriff of Kent.

Before 8th May 1926 [his son] Richard Hugh Jessel (age 30) and [his daughter-in-law] Margaret Ella Lewis (age 27) were married.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

On 15th July 1928 Charles James Jessel 1st Baronet (age 68) died. His son [his son] George (age 37) succeeded 2nd Baronet Jessel of Ladham House in Kent. [his daughter-in-law] Muriel Gladys Chapline Lady Jessel (age 44) by marriage Lady Jessel of Ladham House in Kent.

In January 1956 [his former wife] Edith Goldsmid Lady Jessel died.
