In 1795 [his father] Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 39] and [his mother] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave were married at St Michael's Church, Houghton le Spring [Map]. She by marriage Baroness Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford and Baroness Mulgrave.

On 15th May 1797 Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby was born to [his father] Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 42] and [his mother] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave. He a great x 3 grandson of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland.

In 1812 [his father] Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 56] was created 1st Earl Mulgrave, 1st Viscount Normanby. [his mother] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave by marriage Countess Mulgrave.

In 1818 Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 20] and Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 19] were married. He the son of Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 62] and Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave.

On 23rd July 1819 [his son] George Phipps 2nd Marquess Normanby was born to Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 22] and [his wife] Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 21]. He a great x 4 grandson of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland. He married 1844 Laura Russell Marchioness Normanby and had issue.

Before 8th October 1821 [his brother-in-law] Henry Thomas Liddell 1st Earl Ravensworth [aged 24] and Isabella Horatia Seymour were married. They were sixth cousins. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 7th April 1831 [his father] Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 76] died. His son Constantine [aged 33] succeeded 2nd Earl Mulgrave, 2nd Viscount Normanby, 4th Baron Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford and 2nd Baron Mulgrave. [his wife] Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 32] by marriage Countess Mulgrave.

In August 1833 Charles Yorke 4th Earl of Hardwicke [aged 34] and [his sister-in-law] Susan Liddell Countess Hardwicke [aged 23] were married.

On 18th November 1834 Philip Yorke 3rd Earl of Hardwicke [aged 77] died. He was buried in St Andrew's Church, Wimpole [Map]. His nephew Charles [aged 35] succeeded 4th Earl Hardwicke, 4th Viscount Royston. [his sister-in-law] Susan Liddell Countess Hardwicke [aged 24] by marriage Countess Hardwicke.

[Augusta Ada Byron Countess Lovelace [aged 22] by marriage Countess Lovelace. She was a descendant of the previous Baron Lovelace of Hurley in Berkshire.]

In 1844 George Phipps 2nd Marquess Normanby [aged 24] and Laura Russell Marchioness Normanby [aged 27] were married. He the son of Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 46] and Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 45].

On 17th October 1849 [his mother] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave died.

1851 Appointment of Garter Knights

In 1851 Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom [aged 31] appointed two Knights of the Garter:

706th Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 53].

707th Charles Wentworth-Fitzwilliam 5th and 3rd Earl Fitzwilliam [aged 64].

On 7th March 1855 [his father-in-law] Thomas Liddell 1st Baron Ravensworth [aged 80] died. His son [his brother-in-law] Henry [aged 57] succeeded 2nd Baron Ravensworth of Ravensworth Castle in County Durham, 7th Baronet Liddell of Ravensworth Castle.

On 28th July 1863 Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 66] died. His son George [aged 44] succeeded 2nd Marquess Normanby, 3rd Earl Mulgrave, 3rd Viscount Normanby, 5th Baron Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford and 3rd Baron Mulgrave. Laura Russell Marchioness Normanby [aged 47] by marriage Marchioness Normanby.

On 20th October 1882 [his former wife] Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 84] died.
