Before 13th October 1370 [his father] Thomas Holland 2nd Earl Kent (age 20) and [his mother] Alice Fitzalan Countess Kent (age 20) were married. She by marriage Countess Kent. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Richard Fitzalan 3rd or 10th Earl of Arundel 8th Earl of Surrey (age 64) and [his grandmother] Eleanor Plantagenet Countess Arundel and Surrey (age 52). He the son of [his grandfather] Thomas Holland 1st Earl Kent and [his grandmother] Joan "Fair Maid of Kent" Princess Wales (age 42). They were third cousins. He a great grandson of King Edward I of England. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Henry III of England.
On 6th January 1384 Edmund Holland 4th Earl Kent was born to Thomas Holland 2nd Earl Kent (age 34) and Alice Fitzalan Countess Kent (age 34). He a great x 2 grandson of King Edward I of England.
On 25th April 1397 [his father] Thomas Holland 2nd Earl Kent (age 47) died. He was buried in Bourne Abbey, Lincolnshire [Map]. His son [his brother] Thomas (age 23) succeeded 3rd Earl Kent, 2nd Baron Holand, 7th Baron Wake of Liddell. Joan Stafford Countess Kent (age 19) by marriage Countess Kent.
On 7th January 1400 at Cirencester, Gloucestershire [Map] Ralph Lumley 1st Baron Lumley (age 40) was beheaded by the townspeople following an unsuccessful attempt to seize the town. Baron Lumley forfeit.
[his brother] Thomas Holland 1st Duke Surrey (age 26) was beheaded. He had to forfeit the honours and estates he had gained after the arrests of Gloucester and Arundel: Duke Surrey extinct. He retained those he had received before: His brother Edmund (age 16) succeeded 4th Earl Kent, 3rd Baron Holand, 8th Baron Wake of Liddell. He was buried, or re-buried, at his foundation Mount Grace Priory, North Yorkshire [Map].
John Montagu 3rd Earl Salisbury (age 50) was captured, tried and beheaded. Earl Salisbury, Baron Montagu, Baron Montagu, Baron Monthermer forfeit.
Bernard Brocas (age 46) was captured.
Around 1404 Edmund Holland 4th Earl Kent (age 19) was appointed 106th Knight of the Garter by King Henry IV of England (age 36).
Around 1406 [his illegitimate daughter] Eleanor Holland Baroness Audley Heighley was born illegitimately to Edmund Holland 4th Earl Kent (age 21) and Constance York Countess Gloucester (age 32) at Kenilworth Castle [Map]. She a great granddaughter of King Edward III of England.
On 24th January 1407 Edmund Holland 4th Earl Kent (age 23) and Lucia Visconti Countess Kent (age 27) were married at Southwark Cathedral [Map]. She by marriage Countess Kent. He was killed eighteen month's later at the Battle of Île de Bréhat. He the son of Thomas Holland 2nd Earl Kent and Alice Fitzalan Countess Kent (age 57).

Collectanea by John Leland [1502-1552]. [24th January 1407] In the VIII Yere of King Henry Dame Luce [[his wife] Lucia Visconti Countess Kent (age 27)], the Dukes of Milaine Syster, cam to London, and there was weddid to Edmunde Holand (age 23) Erle of Kent in the Priory of S. Mary Overeys [Map], and the Fest was kept in the Bishop of Winchester’s Place.
On 15th September 1408 Edmund Holland 4th Earl Kent (age 24) was killed at Île de Bréhat. He was buried in Bourne Abbey, Lincolnshire [Map]. Earl Kent extinct. Baron Holand, Baron Wake of Liddell abeyant. See Walsingham.
Chronicle of Gregory [1400-1467]. 1408. Alle so the same year the Erle of Kentt (age 23) was slayne at the castelle of Bryake whythe a stone.
Thomas Walsingham [-1422]. [15th September 1408] Lord Thomas (age 24), Earl of Kent, while besieging the castle of Briaut in Brittany, was struck in the head by a bolt from a crossbow. Nevertheless, he captured the castle and completely destroyed it; but not long afterwards, when his brain had become putrid, he met his death.
Dominus Thomas Comes Canciæ, dum obsidet castrum de Briaut in Britannia, spiculo balistæ vulneratus in capite, cepit tamen castrum et destruxit funditus; nec multo post, putrefacto cerebro, mortem incurrit.
On 14th April 1424 [his former wife] Lucia Visconti Countess Kent (age 44) died.
