The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Henry Byng 4th Earl Strafford and [his grandmother] Henrietta Louisa Elizabeth Danneskiold Samsøe. He the son of [his grandfather] James Charles Agar 3rd Earl Normanton and [his grandmother] Caroline Susan Augusta Barrington Countess Normanton.

On 29th March 1910 Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton was born to [his father] Sidney James Agar 4th Earl Normanton and [his mother] Amy Frederica Alice Byng Countess Normanton.

On 20th July 1931 Gerard Henry Fleetwood Fuller 2nd Baronet and [his future wife] Fiona Pratt were married. They were divorced in 1944. She by marriage Lady Fuller of Neston Park in Corsham in Wiltshire. She the daughter of John Pratt 4th Marquess Camden and [his future mother-in-law] Joan Marion Neville Marchioness Camden.

In 1933 [his father] Sidney James Agar 4th Earl Normanton died. Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton succeeded 5th Earl Normanton.

On 5th July 1937 Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton and Barbara Mary Frankland were married. He the son of Sidney James Agar 4th Earl Normanton and Amy Frederica Alice Byng Countess Normanton.

In 1943 Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton and Barbara Mary Frankland were divorced.

On 30th October 1944 Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton and Fiona Pratt Countess Normanton were married. She by marriage Countess Normanton. She the daughter of John Pratt 4th Marquess Camden and Joan Marion Neville Marchioness Camden. He the son of Sidney James Agar 4th Earl Normanton and Amy Frederica Alice Byng Countess Normanton.

On 21st August 1945 [his son] Shaun Agar 6th Earl Normanton was born to Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton and [his wife] Fiona Pratt Countess Normanton.

In 1961 [his mother] Amy Frederica Alice Byng Countess Normanton died.

On 28th January 1967 Edward Agar 5th Earl Normanton died. [his son] Shaun Agar 6th Earl Normanton succeeded 6th Earl Normanton.

In 1985 [his former wife] Fiona Pratt Countess Normanton died.

On 12th September 2000 [his former wife] Barbara Mary Frankland died.
