Biography of George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel 1750-1805

In Mar 1748 [his father] George Carpenter 1st Earl Tyrconnel (age 24) and [his mother] Frances Clifton Countess Tyrconnel were married.

In 1750 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel was born to George Carpenter 1st Earl Tyrconnel (age 26) and Frances Clifton Countess Tyrconnel.

On 09 Mar 1762 [his father] George Carpenter 1st Earl Tyrconnel (age 38) died. His son George (age 12) succeeded 2nd Earl Tyrconnel, 4th Baron Carpenter of Killaghy in County Tipperary.

On 28 Jun 1772 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 22) was elected MP Scarborough.

On 09 Jul 1772 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 22) and Frances Manners Countess Tyrconnel (age 19) were married. She by marriage Countess Tyrconnel. He the son of George Carpenter 1st Earl Tyrconnel and Frances Clifton Countess Tyrconnel.

On 26 Dec 1775 [his brother-in-law] Charles Manners 4th Duke Rutland (age 21) and Mary Isabella Somerset Duchess Rutland (age 19) were married. She the daughter of Charles Noel Somerset 4th Duke Beaufort and Elizabeth Berekeley Duchess Beaufort (age 62). They were half fourth cousins.

In Oct 1777 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 27) dissolved [his wife] Frances Manners Countess Tyrconnel (age 24).

On 29 May 1779 John Manners 3rd Duke Rutland (age 82) died. His grandson [his brother-in-law] Charles (age 25) succeeded 4th Duke Rutland, 4th Marquess Grandby, 12th Earl of Rutland, 4th Baron Manners of Haddon in Derbyshire. Mary Isabella Somerset Duchess Rutland (age 22) by marriage Duchess Rutland.

On 03 Jun 1780 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 30) and Sarah Hussey Delaval Countess Tyrconnel (age 17) were married. She by marriage Countess Tyrconnel. He the son of George Carpenter 1st Earl Tyrconnel and Frances Clifton Countess Tyrconnel.

Around 1784 [his daughter] Susan Hussey Carpenter Marchioness Waterford was born to George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 34) and [his wife] Sarah Hussey Delaval Countess Tyrconnel (age 21).

On 11 Feb 1784 [his brother-in-law] Charles Manners 4th Duke Rutland (age 29) was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.

On 24 Oct 1787 [his brother-in-law] Charles Manners 4th Duke Rutland (age 33) died at Phoenix Park Lodge, Phoenix Park, Dublin. His son John (age 9) succeeded 5th Duke Rutland, 5th Marquess Grandby, 13th Earl of Rutland, 5th Baron Manners of Haddon in Derbyshire.

On 15 Oct 1792 [his wife] Frances Manners Countess Tyrconnel (age 39) died.

In 1796 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 46) was elected MP Berwick on Tweed.

In 1800 [his wife] Sarah Hussey Delaval Countess Tyrconnel (age 37) died.

On 15 Apr 1805 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 55) died. His nephew George (age 17) succeeded 3rd Earl Tyrconnel, 5th Baron Carpenter of Killaghy in County Tipperary.
