On 23 Dec 1392 [her grandmother] Isabella of Castile Duchess York (age 37) died. She the wife of [her grandfather] Edmund of Langley 1st Duke of York (age 51). Isabella had travelled to England with her sister Constance of Castile Duchess of Lancaster (age 38) who had married Edmund's elder brother John of Gaunt 1st Duke Lancaster (age 52). Isabella and Edmund's marriage was not, apparently, a happy one. She is known to have had an affair with John Holland 1st Duke Exeter (age 40) who may have been the father of [her father] Richard of Conisbrough 1st Earl Cambridge (age 7) progenitor of the House of York.

In May 1406 [her father] Richard of Conisbrough 1st Earl Cambridge (age 20) and [her mother] Anne Mortimer (age 15) were married. The marriage apparently took place in secret possibly because she was a descendant of King Edward III of England although she wasn't at the time Heir to the Throne of England although their issue would become so. She died five years later. She the daughter of [her grandfather] Roger Mortimer 4th Earl March 3rd Earl of Ulster and [her grandmother] Eleanor Holland Countess March and Ulster. He the son of [her grandfather] Edmund of Langley 1st Duke of York and [her grandmother] Isabella of Castile Duchess York. They were first cousin twice removed. He a grandson of King Edward III of England. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

In 1409 Isabel York Countess Eu and Essex was born to Richard of Conisbrough 1st Earl Cambridge (age 23) and Anne Mortimer (age 18). She a great granddaughter of King Edward III of England. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.28%.

Around 21 Sep 1411 [her mother] Anne Mortimer (age 20) died from childbirth.

On 05 Aug 1415 two executions of those involved in the Southampton Plot took place at the North Gate aka Bargate [Map]:

On 28 May 1420 William Bourchier 1st Count of Eu (age 46) died at Troyes, France [Map]. He was buried at Llanthony Secunda Priory, Gloucestershire [Map]. His son [her future husband] Henry Bourchier 2nd Count of Eu 1st Earl Essex (age 16) succeeded 2nd Count Eu.

Death of Humphrey of Lancaster

On 20 Feb 1447 Humphrey Lancaster 1st Duke Gloucester (age 56) was arrested on a charge of treason by John Beaumont 1st Viscount Beaumont (age 37), [her brother-in-law] Humphrey Stafford 1st Duke of Buckingham (age 44), Edmund Beaufort 1st or 2nd Duke of Somerset (age 41), Richard Neville Earl Salisbury (age 47) and Ralph Boteler 6th and 1st Baron Sudeley (age 58).

On 23 Feb 1447 Humphrey Lancaster 1st Duke Gloucester died at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk [Map]. He was possibly poisoned although more likely he died from a stroke. He was buried at St Albans Cathedral [Map]. Duke Gloucester, Earl Pembroke extinct. His death left England with no heir to the throne in a direct line. [her brother] Richard Plantagenet 3rd Duke of York (age 35) became heir presumptive until the birth of Edward of Westminster Prince of Wales six years later.

1460 Battle of Northampton

On 10 Jul 1460 the Yorkist army led by the future King Edward IV of England (age 18) and including Richard "Kingmaker" Neville Earl Warwick, 6th Earl Salisbury (age 31), Archbishop George Neville (age 28), William Neville 1st Earl Kent (age 55), Edward Brooke 6th Baron Cobham (age 45) and John Scrope 5th Baron Scrope of Bolton (age 22) defeated the Lancastrian army at the 1460 Battle of Northampton.

Edmund Grey 1st Earl Kent (age 43) had started the day as part of the Lancastrian army but did nothing to prevent the Yorkist army attacking.

King Henry VI of England and II of France (age 38) was captured.

[her brother-in-law] Humphrey Stafford 1st Duke of Buckingham (age 57) was killed. His grandson Henry Stafford 2nd Duke of Buckingham (age 5) succeeded 2nd Duke of Buckingham, 7th Earl Stafford, 8th Baron Stafford.

Thomas Percy 1st Baron Egremont (age 37) was killed.

John Beaumont 1st Viscount Beaumont (age 50) was killed. His son William Beaumont 2nd Viscount Beaumont (age 22) succeeded 2nd Viscount Beaumont, 7th Baron Beaumont.

William Lucy (age 56) was killed apparently by servants of a member of the Stafford family who wanted his wife Margaret Fitzlewis (age 21).

Thomas Tresham (age 40) fought.

William Beaumont 2nd Viscount Beaumont and William Norreys (age 19) were knighted.

Thomas "Bastard of Exeter" Holland was executed following the battle.

The battle was fought south of the River Nene [Map] in the grounds of Delapré Abbey.

In 1461 [her husband] Henry Bourchier 2nd Count of Eu 1st Earl Essex (age 57) was created 1st Earl Essex. Isabel York Countess Eu and Essex (age 52) by marriage Countess Essex.

On 04 Apr 1483 [her husband] Henry Bourchier 2nd Count of Eu 1st Earl Essex (age 79) died. He was buried firstly in Beeleigh Abbey [Map] and thereafter St Mary's Church, Little Easton [Map]. In 1484 [her daughter] Laura Bourchier Countess Devon (age 44) died.

On 02 Oct 1484 Isabel York Countess Eu and Essex (age 75) died. She was buried at Beeleigh Abbey [Map].
