Biography of Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie 6th Earl Radnor 1868-1930

He the son of [his grandfather] Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie 4th Earl Radnor (age 50) and [his grandmother] Mary Augusta Frederica Grimston (age 44).

On 8th July 1868 Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie was born to William Pleydell-Bouverie 5th Earl Radnor (age 27) and Helen Matilda Chaplin Countess Radnor (age 22).

On 20th January 1891 Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie (age 22) and Julian Eleanor Adelaide Balfour were married. He the son of William Pleydell-Bouverie 5th Earl Radnor (age 49) and Helen Matilda Chaplin Countess Radnor (age 44).

In 1892 Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie (age 23) was elected MP Wilton.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

After 30th March 1929 [his son] Captain Edward Pleydell-Bouverie (age 29) and [his daughter-in-law] Alice Pearl Crake Baroness Montagu (age 34) were married. He the son of Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie 6th Earl Radnor (age 60) and [his wife] Julian Eleanor Adelaide Balfour.

On 11th September 1929 [his mother] Helen Matilda Chaplin Countess Radnor (age 83) died.
