Biography of James Malton 1761-1803

In 1761 James Malton was born to Thomas Malton the Elder. He moved to Ireland with his father and was living in Dublin by the 1780s.[2] He was employed as a draughtsman in the office of the architect James Gandon for nearly three years during the building of the Custom House.

On 28th July 1803 James Malton (age 42) died of a "brain-fever" at Norton Street, Marylebone, London.
