She the daughter of [his grandfather] John Carteret 2nd Earl Granville (age 42) and [his grandmother] Frances Worsley Countess Granville (age 40). He the son of [his grandfather] Charles Spencer 3rd Earl of Sunderland and [his grandmother] Anne Churchill Countess Sunderland. They were fifth cousin once removed.
On 19th December 1734 John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer was born to [his father] John Spencer (age 26) and [his mother] Georgiana Caroline Carteret (age 18) at Althorp House, Northamptonshire [Map].
On 19th June 1746 [his father] John Spencer (age 38) died.
In 1750 William Clavering-Cowper 2nd Earl Cowper (age 40) and [his mother] Georgiana Caroline Carteret (age 33). Georgiana Caroline Carteret by marriage Countess Cowper.
On 20th December 1755 John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 21) and Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 18) were married at Althorp House, Northamptonshire [Map]. He the son of John Spencer and Georgiana Caroline Carteret (age 39).
On 7th June 1757 [his daughter] Georgiana Spencer Duchess Devonshire was born to John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 22) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 20) at Althorp House, Northamptonshire [Map]. She married 7th June 1774 her fourth cousin William Cavendish 5th Duke Devonshire, son of William Cavendish 4th Duke Devonshire and Charlotte Elizabeth Boyle Marchioness Hartington, and had issue.
On 1st September 1758 [his son] George John Spencer 2nd Earl Spencer was born to John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 23) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 21). He married 6th March 1781 Lavinia Bingham Countess Spencer, daughter of Charles Bingham 1st Earl Lucan and Margaret Smith Countess Lucan, and had issue.
On 3rd April 1761 John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 26) was created 1st Viscount Spencer, 1st Baron Spencer Althorp. [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 23) by marriage Viscountess Spencer, 1st Baroness Spencer Althorp.
On 16th June 1761 [his daughter] Henrietta Frances Spencer Countess Bessborough was born to John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 26) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 24). She married 27th November 1780 her fifth cousin Frederick Ponsonby 3rd Earl Bessborough, son of William Ponsonby 2nd Earl Bessborough and Caroline Cavendish Countess Bessborough, and had issue.
In 1765 [his daughter] Charlotte Spencer was born to John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 30) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 27). She died aged one in 1766.
On 1st November 1765 John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 30) was created 1st Earl Spencer, 1st Viscount Althorp. [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 28) by marriage Countess Spencer, 1st Viscountess Althorp.
In 1766 [his daughter] Charlotte Spencer (age 1) died.
Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

It was her 17th birthday. She by marriage Duchess Devonshire. She the daughter of John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 39) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 37). He the son of William Cavendish 4th Duke Devonshire and Charlotte Elizabeth Boyle Marchioness Hartington. They were fourth cousins.
On 21st August 1780 [his mother] Georgiana Caroline Carteret (age 64) died.
On 27th November 1780 [his son-in-law] Frederick Ponsonby 3rd Earl Bessborough (age 22) and [his daughter] Henrietta Frances Spencer Countess Bessborough (age 19) were married. She by marriage Countess Bessborough. She the daughter of John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 45) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 43). He the son of William Ponsonby 2nd Earl Bessborough (age 76) and Caroline Cavendish Countess Bessborough. They were fifth cousins.
On 6th March 1781 [his son] George John Spencer 2nd Earl Spencer (age 22) and [his daughter-in-law] Lavinia Bingham Countess Spencer (age 19) were married. She the daughter of Charles Bingham 1st Earl Lucan (age 45) and Margaret Smith Countess Lucan (age 41). He the son of John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 46) and [his wife] Margaret Georgiana Poyntz Countess Spencer (age 43).
On 31st October 1783 John Spencer 1st Earl Spencer (age 48) died at Bath, Somerset [Map]. He was buried at St Mary the Virgin Church, Great Brington, Northamptonshire. His son George (age 25) succeeded 2nd Earl Spencer, 2nd Viscount Althorp, 2nd Viscount Spencer, 2nd Baron Spencer Althorp. [his daughter-in-law] Lavinia Bingham Countess Spencer (age 21) by marriage Countess Spencer.
