Biography of Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham 1811-1900

Before 10th March 1810 [his father] Randle Wilbraham (age 37) and [his mother] Sybilla Ann Egerton (age 29) were married.

On 12th April 1811 Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham was born to Randle Wilbraham (age 38) and Sybilla Ann Egerton (age 30).

In 1839 Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham (age 27) published Travels in the Trans-Caucasian Provinces of Russia And Along the Southern Shore of the Lakes of Van and Urumiah, in the Autumn and Winter of 1837.

On 24th November 1846 Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham (age 35) and Elizabeth Frances Egerton were married. They were first cousins.

On or before 23rd May 1849 [his daughter] Katharine Frances Wilbraham Lady Wilbraham was born to Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham (age 38) and [his wife] Elizabeth Frances Egerton. Coefficient of inbreeding 7.04%.

On 23rd May 1849 [his wife] Elizabeth Frances Egerton died. Memorial at All Saints Church, Old Rode.

Elizabeth Frances Egerton: she was born to William Egerton. On 24th November 1846 Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham and she were married. They were first cousins.

1856. This Marble was taken from St Vladimir's the first Christian Church built in Russia, and was brought from the Crimea at the end of the war AD 1856, by Colonel Richard Wilbraham (age 44), C.B.

On 12th January 1861 [his father] Randle Wilbraham (age 88) died. Memorial at All Saints Church, Old Rode sculpted by Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (age 36).

Randle Wilbraham: On 10th January 1773 he was born to Richard Wilbraham-Bootle. Before 10th March 1810 Randle Wilbraham and Sybilla Ann Egerton were married.

On 30th May 1868 [his mother] Sybilla Ann Egerton (age 87) died.

On 4th April 1872 [his son-in-law] George Barrington Baker Wilbraham 5th Baronet (age 27) and [his daughter] Katharine Frances Wilbraham Lady Wilbraham (age 22) were married.

On 15th September 1881 Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham (age 70) was promoted to Colonel of the Royal Fusiliers'.

The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), General Sir Richard Wilbraham (age 70), K.C.B., from the 2nd Battalion the South Staffordshire Regiment, to be Colonel, vice General Richard, Lord Airey, G.C.B., deceased. Dated 15th September, 1881.

On 30th April 1900 Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham (age 89) died at Rode Hall, Cheshire. Memorial at All Saints Church, Old Rode. He was the last of the male line of Wilbraham's. His estate, including Rode Hall, Cheshire was inherited by his daughter [his daughter] Katharine Frances Wilbraham Lady Wilbraham (age 50) and her husband [his son-in-law] George Barrington Baker Wilbraham 5th Baronet (age 55).

Katharine Frances Wilbraham Lady Wilbraham: On or before 23rd May 1849 she was born to Lieutenant-General Richard Wilbraham and Elizabeth Frances Egerton. Coefficient of inbreeding 7.04%. On 4th April 1872 George Barrington Baker Wilbraham 5th Baronet and she were married. On 4th October 1911 Frederick Edward Baker aka Rhodes 4th Baronet died unmarried. His brother George succeeded 5th Baronet Baker of Loventor in Totnes in Devon. She by marriage Lady Baker of Loventor in Totnes in Devon.
