Biography of Millicent Tiptoft 1368-1446

In or before 1365 [her father] Robert Tiptoft 3rd Baron Tibetot (age 23) and [her mother] Margaret Deincourt Baroness Tibetot (age 20) were married. She by marriage Baroness Tibetot. They were third cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

Around 12 Apr 1368 Millicent Tiptoft was born to Robert Tiptoft 3rd Baron Tibetot (age 27) and Margaret Deincourt Baroness Tibetot (age 24).

In 1372 [her father] Robert Tiptoft 3rd Baron Tibetot (age 31) died. Baron Tibetot extinct.

On 02 Apr 1380 [her mother] Margaret Deincourt Baroness Tibetot (age 36) died at Nettlestead, Suffolk.

Before 1408 Stephen Scrope (age 52) and Millicent Tiptoft (age 39) were married.

In 1408 [her husband] Stephen Scrope (age 53) died in Ireland. Hever Castle, Kent [Map] became the property of his widow Millicent Tiptoft (age 39) who subsequently married [her future husband] John Fastolf (age 28).

On 13 Jan 1409 John Fastolf (age 29) and Millicent Tiptoft (age 40) were married.

In 1423 [her husband] John Fastolf (age 43) and Millicent Tiptoft (age 54) sold Hever Castle, Kent [Map] to Roger Fiennes (age 38) to fund his campaigns in France.

On 25 Aug 1446 Millicent Tiptoft (age 78) died. She was buried at St Benet's Abbey, Norfolk [Map].

On 05 Nov 1459 [her former husband] John Fastolf (age 79) died at Caister, Norfolk [Map]. He was buried at St Benet's Abbey, Norfolk [Map]. William Yelverton (age 59) was executor. Fastolf's will was disputed by Yelverton and the other executors once it was discovered that John Paston (age 38) was to inherit the estates. The dispute between Yelverton and Paston was taken up by the Lord Chancellor's office and went on for many years.
