Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

Biography of Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield 1694-1773

In 1692 [his father] Philip Stanhope 3rd Earl Chesterfield (age 18) and [his mother] Elizabeth Savile (age 15) were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] George Savile 1st Marquess Halifax (age 58) and [his grandmother] Gertrude Pierrepont Marchioness Halifax. He the son of [his grandfather] Philip Stanhope 2nd Earl Chesterfield (age 58) and [his grandmother] Elizabeth Dormer Countess Chesterfield. They were fifth cousin once removed.

On 22nd September 1694 Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield was born to Philip Stanhope 3rd Earl Chesterfield (age 21) and Elizabeth Savile (age 17).

In 1708 [his mother] Elizabeth Savile (age 31) died. She was buried with her parentrrs in Westminster Abbey [Map].

On 27th January 1726 [his father] Philip Stanhope 3rd Earl Chesterfield (age 52) died. His son Philip (age 31) succeeded 4th Earl Chesterfield, 4th Baron Stanhope of Shelford in Nottinghamshire and inherited Boughton aka Bocton Place, Kent [Map].

In 1730 Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield (age 35) was appointed 547th Knight of the Garter by [his future brother-in-law] King George II of Great Britain and Ireland (age 46).

On 5th September 1733 Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield (age 38) and Petronilla Melusine Schulenburg Countess Chesterfield (age 40) were married at Isleworth. She by marriage Countess Chesterfield. She the illegitmate daughter of King George I of Great Britain and Ireland and Melusine Schulenburg 1st Duchess Munster 1st Duchess Kendal (age 65). He the son of Philip Stanhope 3rd Earl Chesterfield and Elizabeth Savile.

On 8th May 1740 Frederick Hesse-Kassel (age 19) and Mary Hanover (age 17) were married. She the daughter of [his brother-in-law] King George II (age 56). She the daughter of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland and Caroline Hohenzollern Queen Consort England. He the son of William Hesse-Kassel (age 58). They were fourth cousins.

On 1st November 1749 Joseph Yorke 1st Baron Dover (age 25) was appointed Aide-de-Camp to [his brother-in-law] King George II of Great Britain and Ireland (age 66).

In 1750 Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield (age 55) sold Boughton aka Bocton Place, Kent [Map] to Galfridus Mann (age 43).

1752 Creation of Knights

On 28th June 1757 [his sister-in-law] Sophia Dorothea Hanover Queen Consort Prussia (age 70) died.

On 25th October 1760 [his brother-in-law] King George II of Great Britain and Ireland (age 76) died at Kensington Palace. His grandson George (age 22) succeeded III King Great Britain and Ireland. Duke Cambridge merged with the Crown.

On 24th May 1773 Philip Stanhope 4th Earl Chesterfield (age 78) died at Chesterfield House. His third cousin once removed Philip (age 17) succeeded 5th Earl Chesterfield, 5th Baron Stanhope of Shelford in Nottinghamshire.

On 16th September 1778 [his former wife] Petronilla Melusine Schulenburg Countess Chesterfield (age 85) died.
