On 8th August 1719 [his father] Emanuel Howe 2nd Viscount Howe (age 19) and [his mother] Sophia Von Keilmansegg Viscountess Howe (age 15) were married. She by marriage Viscountess Howe.
On 8th March 1726 Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe was born to Emanuel Howe 2nd Viscount Howe (age 26) and Sophia Von Keilmansegg Viscountess Howe (age 22) at Albermarle Street.
In 1735 [his father] Emanuel Howe 2nd Viscount Howe (age 35) died. His son [his brother] George (age 10) succeeded 3rd Viscount Howe, 3rd Baron Glenawley.
On 10th March 1758 Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 32) and Mary Hartop were married.
On 6th July 1758 [his brother] George Howe 3rd Viscount Howe (age 33) was killed at Fort Carillon Ticonderoga, Essex County New York State at the Battle of Carillon. His brother Richard (age 32) succeeded 4th Viscount Howe, 4th Baron Glenawley.
On 9th December 1767 [his daughter] Louisa Catharine Howe was born to Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 41) and [his wife] Mary Hartop.
In 1782 Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 55) was created 1st Viscount Howe.
On 13th June 1782 [his mother] Sophia Von Keilmansegg Viscountess Howe (age 78) died.
In 1787 [his son-in-law] John Denis Browne 1st Marquess of Sligo (age 30) and [his daughter] Louisa Catharine Howe (age 19) were married. She the daughter of Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 60) and [his wife] Mary Hartop.
On 22nd July 1788 Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 62) was created 1st Earl Howe, 1st Baron Howe. The Baroney was created with a special remainder to his daughter [his daughter] Sophia Howe 2nd Baroness Howe.

In 1797 Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 70) was appointed 620th Knight of the Garter by King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 58).
On 5th August 1799 Richard Howe 1st Earl Howe (age 73) died. Earl Howe, Viscount Howe extinct. His daughter [his daughter] Sophia succeeded 2nd Baroness Howe. The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
