After 10 Jul 1359 [his father] Matthew Redman (age 31) and [his mother] Joan Fitzhenry Baroness Greystoke (age 26) were married.

Around 1370 [his son] Matthew Redman was born to Richard Redman Master of the Horse (age 20).

Before 1376 Richard Redman Master of the Horse (age 26) was knighted.

In 1387 Richard Redman Master of the Horse (age 37) was appointed High Sheriff of Cumberland.

Battle of Otterburn

On either 05 Aug 1388 or 19 Aug 1388 a Scottish army commanded by John Swinton defeated an English army commanded by Henry "Hotspur" Percy (age 24) during the Battle of Otterburn at Otterburn [Map]. Henry "Hotspur" Percy and his brother Ralph Percy (age 29) were captured as was [his father] Matthew Redman (age 60). The English suffered 1000 killed, 2000 captured. The Scottish 100 killed, 200 captured.

On the Scottish side James Douglas 2nd Earl Douglas (age 30) was killed. His sister Isabel Douglas Countess Mar (age 28) succeeded Countess Mar.

John Dunbar 1st Earl of Moray (age 46) fought.

Before 1390 [his father] Matthew Redman (age 62) died.

Around 1390 [his son] Richard Redman was born to Richard Redman Master of the Horse (age 40) and Elizabeth Aldeburgh (age 28) at Alwinton, Northumberland [Map].

In 1391 Richard Redman Master of the Horse (age 41) was appointed High Sheriff of Cumberland.

In 1393 Richard Redman Master of the Horse (age 43) held a tournament at Carlisle, Cumberland [Map].

Elizabeth Aldeburgh: Brian Stapleton and she were married. Richard Redman Master of the Horse and she were married. Around 1362 she was born to William Aldeburgh 1st Baron Aldeburgh Harewood and Elizabeth Lisle Baroness Ferrers Harewood. On 21 Dec 1417 Elizabeth Aldeburgh died.
