Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 23 Oct 1832 [his son] William Nassau Jocelyn 5th Earl Roden was born to Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden (age 43) and [his wife] .
On 25 Jul 1833 [his son-in-law] Charles Noel 1st Earl Gainsborough (age 51) and [his daughter] (age 18) were married. The difference in their ages was 33 years. She the daughter of Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden 1788-1870 (age 44) and Maria Frances Catherine Stapleton Countess Roden -1903.
On 25 Jan 1836 [his son-in-law] Richard Wingfield 6th Viscount Powerscourt (age 21) and [his daughter] Elizabeth Frances Jocelyn Viscountess Powerscout (age 22) were married. She by marriage Viscountess Powerscourt. She the daughter of Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden 1788-1870 (age 47) and Maria Frances Catherine Stapleton Countess Roden -1903. They were half first cousins.
On 09 Apr 1841 [his son] Robert Jocelyn (age 25) and [his daughter-in-law] Frances Elizabeth Cowper (age 21) were married. She the daughter of Peter Nassau Clavering-Cowper 5th Earl Cowper 1778-1837 and Emily Lamb Countess Cowper (age 53). He the son of Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden 1788-1870 (age 52) and Maria Frances Catherine Stapleton Countess Roden -1903.
On 11 Jun 1848 [his son-in-law] Charles Weld-Forester (age 36) and [his daughter] Maria Jocelyn were married. She the daughter of Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden 1788-1870 (age 59) and Maria Frances Catherine Stapleton Countess Roden -1903.
On 12 Aug 1854 [his son] Robert Jocelyn (age 38) died of cholera.
On 20 Aug 1868 the Irish Mail train collided with goods wagons. The force of the collision derailed the engine, its tender and the leading guard's van. Two runaway wagons next to the brake van, which carried 50 wooden barrels, holding about 1,700 gallons of paraffin oil caught fire. The engine, tender, guard's van and the first three-passenger carriages were instantly enveloped in dense smoke and flames, which soon spread to the fourth carriage and the front of the leading post office van. This prevented any immediate attempt to rescue the occupants of the first four carriages, who all died.

On 20 Mar 1870 Robert Jocelyn 3rd Earl Roden (age 81) died at Edinburgh [Map]. His grandson (age 23) succeeded 4th Earl Roden.
