Biography of Rosalind Maud Cubitt 1921-1994

Paternal Family Tree: Cubitt

On 16th November 1920 [her father] Roland Cubitt 3rd Baron Ashcombe (age 21) and [her mother] Sonia Rosemary Keppel (age 20) were married at the Royal Military Chapel, Wellington Barracks.

On 11th August 1921 Rosalind Maud Cubitt was born to [her father] Roland Cubitt 3rd Baron Ashcombe (age 22) and [her mother] Sonia Rosemary Keppel (age 21).

On 2nd January 1946 Bruce Shand (age 28) and Rosalind Maud Cubitt (age 24) were married at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge.

On 4th July 1947 [her father] Roland Cubitt 3rd Baron Ashcombe (age 48) and [her mother] Sonia Rosemary Keppel (age 47) were divorced.

On 17th July 1947 [her daughter] Queen Consort Camilla Shand was born to [her husband] Bruce Shand (age 30) and Rosalind Maud Cubitt (age 25). She married 9th April 2005 King Charles III, son of Philip Mountbatten Duke Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

On 27th October 1947 [her grandfather] Henry Cubitt 2nd Baron Ashcombe (age 80) died at Dorking, Surrey [Map]. His son [her father] Roland (age 48) succeeded 3rd Baron Ashcombe of Dorking in Surrey and Bodiam Castle in Sussex.

On 28th October 1962 [her father] Roland Cubitt 3rd Baron Ashcombe (age 63) died. His son [her brother] Henry (age 38) succeeded 4th Baron Ashcombe of Dorking in Surrey and Bodiam Castle in Sussex.

On 1st January 1973 [her brother] Henry Edward Cubitt 4th Baron Ashcombe (age 48) and [her sister-in-law] Virginia Carrington Baroness Ashcombe (age 26) were married. The difference in their ages was 22 years.

In 1979 [her brother] Henry Edward Cubitt 4th Baron Ashcombe (age 54) and [her sister-in-law] Virginia Carrington Baroness Ashcombe (age 32) were divorced.

On 16th August 1986 [her mother] Sonia Rosemary Keppel (age 86) died.

Deeds of King Henry V

Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.
