Around 1355 Stephen Scrope was born to Richard Scrope 1st Baron Scrope of Bolton (age 28) and Blanche Pole Baroness Scrope Bolton (age 27).
In or before 1369 [his father] Richard Scrope 1st Baron Scrope of Bolton (age 41) and [his mother] Blanche Pole Baroness Scrope Bolton (age 40) were married. She by marriage Baroness Scrope of Bolton.
Around 1378 [his mother] Blanche Pole Baroness Scrope Bolton (age 50) died at Bolton, North Yorkshire.
On 12th November 1399 John Cobham died. He was buried under the belfry at St Peter's Church, Hever with his second wife Joan Lewknor and their son Reynold. His will reveals that he provided for £30 to be spent on his funeral and twenty poor men to stand vigil over his tomb for forty days. His heirs appear to have sold Hever Castle, Kent [Map] to Stephen Scrope (age 44).
In 1400 Stephen Scrope (age 45) was appointed Governor of Roxburgh Castle by King Henry IV of England (age 32).
In 1402 Stephen Scrope (age 47) was appointed Lord Deputy of Ireland to Thomas Lancaster 1st Duke of Clarence (age 13).
Around August 1403 [his father] Richard Scrope 1st Baron Scrope of Bolton (age 76) died. He was buried at Easby Abbey, Yorkshire [Map]. His son [his brother] Roger (age 34) succeeded 2nd Baron Scrope of Bolton.
Before 1408 Stephen Scrope (age 52) and Millicent Tiptoft (age 39) were married.
In 1408 Stephen Scrope (age 53) died in Ireland. Hever Castle, Kent [Map] became the property of his widow [his wife] Millicent Tiptoft (age 39) who subsequently married John Fastolf (age 28).
On 13th January 1409 John Fastolf (age 29) and [his former wife] Millicent Tiptoft (age 40) were married.
On 25th August 1446 [his former wife] Millicent Tiptoft (age 78) died. She was buried at St Benet's Abbey, Norfolk [Map].
