Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

In or before 1552 [his father] Thomas Bishopp of Henfield in Surrey (age 46) and [his mother] Elizabeth Belknap were married.
On 30th April 1553 Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet was born to [his father] Thomas Bishopp of Henfield in Surrey (age 47) and [his mother] Elizabeth Belknap.
In 1560 [his father] Thomas Bishopp of Henfield in Surrey (age 54) died. His son Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet (age 6) became a ward of Richard Sackville (age 53) and then his son Thomas Sackville 1st Earl Dorset (age 24).
On 19th September 1577 Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet (age 24) and Anne Cromer were married.
Around 1589 Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet (age 35) and Jane Weston (age 36) were married.
On 6th September 1602 [his son] Edward Bishopp 2nd Baronet was born to Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet (age 49) and [his wife] Jane Weston (age 49). He married in or before 1625 his half fifth cousin once removed Mary Tufton, daughter of Nicholas Tufton 1st Earl of Thanet and Frances Cecil Countess Isle Thanet, and had issue.
On 7th May 1603 during his journey south King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland (age 36) stayed at Theobalds House, Hertfordshire as a guest of William Cecil 1st Baron Burghley.

On 24th July 1620 Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet (age 67) was created 1st Baronet Bishopp of Parham in Sussex.
In or before 1625 [his son] Edward Bishopp 2nd Baronet (age 22) and [his daughter-in-law] Mary Tufton (age 17) were married. She the daughter of Nicholas Tufton 1st Earl of Thanet (age 46) and Frances Cecil Countess Isle Thanet (age 43). They were half fifth cousin once removed.
The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy
The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England. On 26th November 1626 Thomas Bisshopp 1st Baronet (age 73) died. His son Edward (age 24) succeeded 2nd Baronet Bishopp of Parham in Sussex.
On or before 24th January 1637 [his former wife] Jane Weston (age 84) died. She was buried on 24th January 1637.
