The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy
The Gesta Normannorum Ducum [The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy] is a landmark medieval chronicle tracing the rise and fall of the Norman dynasty from its early roots through the pivotal events surrounding the Norman Conquest of England. Around 1658 [his daughter] Frances Savile was born to Thomas Savile 1st (age 67) and [his wife] Anne Villiers Countess Sussex. She married 4th June 1668 her fourth cousin once removed Francis Brudenell, son of Robert Brudenell 2nd Earl Cardigan and Anna Savage Countess Cardigan, and had issue.
Around 1659 Thomas Savile 1st (age 68) died. His son James (age 12) succeeded 2nd Earl of Sussex, 3rd Baron Savile of Pomfret.
Around 1665 [his former wife] Anne Villiers Countess Sussex died.
