Paternal Family Tree: Winnington
In 1690 [his father] Salwey Winnington (age 23) and [his mother] Anne Foley were married. They had one son and five daughters.
On 31st December 1696 Thomas Winnington was born to Salwey Winnington (age 30) and Anne Foley.
In 1713 Thomas Winnington (age 16) matriculated at Christ Church College, Oxford University.
On 6th August 1719 Thomas Winnington (age 22) and Love Reade were married. Ther was no issue from the marriage.
On 31st January 1726 Thomas Winnington (age 29) was elected MP Droitwich at a by-election. He was returned unopposed in 1727 and 1734.
In 1730 Thomas Winnington (age 33) was appointed Lord of the Admiralty.
In 1736 Thomas Winnington (age 39) was appointed Lord of the Treasury which office he held until 1742.
On 6th November 1736 [his father] Salwey Winnington (age 70) died.
In 1741 Thomas Winnington (age 44) was elected MP Droitwich and MP Worcester; he chose to sit for Worcester.
In or after 1743 Thomas Winnington (age 46) was appointed Paymaster of the Forces which post he held for the remainder of his life.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
