On 12th June 1743 [his mother] Dorothea Ray (age 38) died.
On 3rd December 1769 [his father] Thomas Rawlinson of Stowlangtoft died at his house in Fenchurch Street [Map]. He was buried at Haughley, Suffolk.
In 1773 Walter Rawlinson was elected Alderman of Dowgate Ward. He resigned in 1777.
In 1774 Walter Rawlinson was knighted.
In 1774 Walter Rawlinson was elected MP Queenborough which seat he held until 1784.
In 1784 Walter Rawlinson was elected MP Huntingdon which seat he held until 1790.
On 13th March 1805 Walter Rawlinson died without issue.
