Biography of Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet 1702-1768

Before 03 Aug 1702 [his father] Edward Bagot 4th Baronet (age 28) and Frances Wagstaffe were married.

On 03 Aug 1702 Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet was born to Edward Bagot 4th Baronet (age 28).

In May 1712 [his father] Edward Bagot 4th Baronet (age 38) died. His son Walter (age 9) succeeded 5th Baronet Bagot of Blithfield Hall.

On 27 Jul 1724 Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 21) and Barbara Legge Baroness Bagot (age 15) were married. She by marriage Lady Bagot of Blithfield Hall. They had eight sons and eight daughters. She the daughter of William Legge 1st Earl Dartmouth (age 51) and Anne Finch Countess Dartmouth.

On 20 Nov 1724 Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 22) was elected MP Newcastle under Lyme. He was re-elected in 1734.

In 1725 [his daughter] Barbara Bagot was born to Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 22) and [his wife] Barbara Legge Baroness Bagot (age 16).
