Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

Around 1327 [his son] William Deincourt was born to William Deincourt 1st Baron Deincourt (age 26) and [his wife] Millicent Zouche Baroness Deincourt at Blankney, Lincolnshire.

On 06 Jan 1327 [his uncle] Edmund Deincourt 1st Baron Deincourt (age 77) died at Emley Wakefield. His nephew William (age 26) succeeded 9th Lord Deincourt. [his wife] Millicent Zouche Baroness Deincourt by marriage Lord Deincourt. Baron Deincourt abeyant.

On 02 May 1340 [his brother-in-law] Archbishop William Zouche was appointed Archbishop of York.

Around 1344 [his daughter] Margaret Deincourt Baroness Tibetot was born to William Deincourt 1st Baron Deincourt (age 43) and [his wife] Millicent Zouche Baroness Deincourt at Blankney, Lincolnshire.

Battle of Neville's Cross

On 17 Oct 1346 at the Battle of Neville's Cross at Neville's Cross, Durham [Map] the English inflicted a heavy defeat on the Scottish army that had invaded England in compliance with their treaty with the French for mutual support against England.

The English army included: William Deincourt 1st Baron Deincourt (age 45), Henry Scrope 1st Baron Scrope of Masham (age 34), Ralph Hastings (age 55), Ralph Neville 2nd Baron Neville of Raby (age 55), [his brother-in-law] Archbishop William Zouche, Henry Percy 10th and 2nd Baron Percy (age 45) and John Mowbray 3rd Baron Mowbray (age 35).

Of the Scottish army King David II of Scotland (age 22), John Graham Earl Menteith (age 56) and William "Flower of Chivalry and Knight Liddesdale" Douglas 1st Earl Atholl (age 46) were captured and imprisoned in the Tower of London [Map].

Neil Bruce, John Randolph 3rd Earl of Moray (age 40), David Hay 6th Baron Erroll (age 28) and Edward Keith of Sinton (age 66) were killed.

On 19 Jul 1352 [his brother-in-law] Archbishop William Zouche died at Cawood, North Yorkshire [Map]. He was buried at York Minster [Map].

On 26 Dec 1357 [his son] William Deincourt 2nd Baron Deincourt was born to William Deincourt 1st Baron Deincourt (age 56) at Kirkby Bellars, Leicestershire.

On 02 Jun 1364 William Deincourt 1st Baron Deincourt (age 63) died. His eldest son died the same day - the cause of death of both men is unknown. His son [his son] William (age 6) succeeded 2nd Baron Deincourt.

On 22 Jun 1379 [his former wife] Millicent Zouche Baroness Deincourt died at Blankney, Lincolnshire.
