In 1661 Samuel Garth was born in Bolam, Northumberland. He attended Peterhouse, Cambridge, where he graduated with a B.A. in 1679 and an M.A. in 1684. He later earned his M.D. and became a member of the College of Physicians in 1691.

Before 1809 Robert Horsley of Bolam House in Northumberland (age 59) commissioned the building of Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map].

On 23rd December 1809 Robert Horsley of Bolam House in Northumberland (age 60) died. Monument at St Andrew's Church, Bolam [Map] to Robert Horsley, his wife Catherine, who died in 1818, and five of their children. His daughter Charlotte Philadelphia Horsley (age 35) inherited Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map].

Robert Horsley of Bolam House in Northumberland: Around 1749 he was born to John Horlsey. Before 1809 Robert Horsley of Bolam House in Northumberland commissioned the building of Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map].

Charlotte Philadelphia Horsley: On 20th January 1774 she was born to Robert Horsley of Bolam House in Northumberland. On 26th July 1810 John Horsley Beresford 2nd Baron Decies and she were married.

Around 1818 John Horsley Beresford 2nd Baron Decies (age 43) commissioned John Dobson of Newcastle to lay out the grounds of Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map], including a large and beautiful lake

On 1st March 1865 John Horsley Beresford 2nd Baron Decies (age 91) died. His son William (age 53) succeeded 3rd Baron Decies of Decies in Waterford and inherited Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map]. Catherine Anne Dent Baroness Decies (age 25) by marriage Baroness Decies of Decies in Waterford.

On 3rd July 1893 William Horsley-Beresford 3rd Baron Decies (age 82) died. His son William (age 28) succeeded 4th Baron Decies of Decies in Waterford and inherited Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map]. .

In 1902 William Horsley-Beresford 4th Baron Decies (age 36) sold Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map] to Frank H. Burn.

Around 1912 Frank H Burn sold Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map] to Arthur Fenwick (d. 1917) who then sold it to William Boustead Dickenson.

Around 1929 William Boustead Dickenson sold Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map] to Maj. Richard Straker; sold or leased to Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale (age 38).

In 1980 Bolam Hall, Northumberland [Map] was divided into two properties, with the grounds becoming a country park.
