West tower, nave incorporating former south aisle, chancel, north chapel to chancel. 3-stage tower c1434, diagonal buttresses with flushwork, brick embattled parapet.

Ethelreda Lilly: Around 1635 she was born to Thomas Lilly of South Lynn. On 7th December 1683 she died.

Roundel sculpted by Joseph Wilton (age 51). Armorial quartered 1&4 Unknown three leopard's faces jessant de lys 2&3 appears to be Temple Arms includes an escutcheon for his wife Mary Greene.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

William John Browne ffolkes: On 13th January 1820 he was born to William Browne ffolkes 2nd Baronet and Charlotte Philippa Browne.

Edward West: he was born to John Balchen West. His parents died young so he was brought up by his uncle Martin ffolkes 1st Baronet. 26th August 1822 he and Lucretia Georgiana ffolkes were married at St Marylebone Church. She the daughter of his guardian and uncle Martin ffolkes 1st Baronet. On 16th August 1828 he died at Poonah.
Lucretia Georgiana ffolkes: she was born to Martin ffolkes 1st Baronet and Fanny Turner. On 15th October 1828 Lucretia Georgiana ffolkes died in childbirth at Bombay, India eleven days after having given birth to a posthumous son who only lived at few hours.
On 5th November 1862 Mary Anne Browne died. On 9th September 1853 Anna Martina ffolkes died. Memorials in Church of St Mary, Hillington [Map].

Francis Arthur Stanley ffolkes 5th Baronet: On 8th December 1863 he was born to Reverend Henry Edward Browne ffolkes. On 18th October 1938 or 20th October 1938 Francis Arthur Stanley ffolkes 5th Baronet died. His son Edward succeeded 6th Baronet ffolkes of Hillington Hall in Norfolk.
William Rupert Browne ffolkes: he was born to William Everard Browne ffolkes 4th Baronet.
On 1st December 1931 Captain John Dawnay 9th Viscount Downe (age 59) died. His son Richard (age 28) succeeded 10th Viscount Downe. In 1957 Dorothy ffolkes (age 55) died. Memorials in Church of St Mary, Hillington [Map].
Captain John Dawnay 9th Viscount Downe: In 1872 he was born to Major-General Hugh Richard Dawnay 8th Viscount Downe and Cecilia Maria Charlotte Molyneux. In or before 1903 he and Dorothy ffolkes were married. On 21st January 1923 Major-General Hugh Richard Dawnay 8th Viscount Downe died. His son John succeeded 9th Viscount Downe.
Colonel Richard Dawnay 10th Viscount Downe: In 1903 he was born to Captain John Dawnay 9th Viscount Downe and Dorothy ffolkes. In 1965 he died.
Dorothy ffolkes: In 1876 she was born to William ffolkes 3rd Baronet.
