Baron Capell Hadham (1st Creation)

On 6th August 1641 Arthur Capell 1st Baron Capell Hadham (age 33) was created 1st Baron Capell Hadham. Elizabeth Morrison Baroness Capell Hadham (age 30) by marriage Baroness Capell Hadham.

On 9th March 1649 at the Old Palace Yard, Westminster Palace three Royalist Lords were beheaded ...

Arthur Capell 1st Baron Capell Hadham (age 41) was beheaded. His son Arthur (age 17) succeeded 2nd Baron Capell Hadham.

Henry Rich 1st Earl Holland (age 58) was beheaded. His son Robert (age 30) succeeded 2nd Earl Holland. Elizabeth Ingram Countess Holland (age 26) by marriage Countess Holland.

James Hamilton 1st Duke Hamilton (age 42) was beheaded. His brother William (age 32) succeeded 2nd Duke Hamilton, 3rd Earl Cambridge by special remainder.

John Owen (age 49) had been sentenced to death but was subsequently pardoned.

On 13th July 1683 Arthur Capell 1st Earl Essex (age 51) committed suicide at the Tower of London [Map]. He was buried at St Peter ad Vincula Church, Tower of London [Map]. He was said to have been discovered in his chamber with his throat cut whilst awaiting execution for treason. His son Algernon (age 12) succeeded 2nd Earl Essex, 3rd Baron Capell Hadham.

On 10th January 1710 Algernon Capell 2nd Earl Essex (age 39) died. His son William (age 12) succeeded 3rd Earl Essex, 4th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 8th January 1743 William Capell 3rd Earl Essex (age 45) died. His son William (age 10) succeeded 4th Earl Essex, 5th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 4th March 1799 William Anne Capell 4th Earl Essex (age 66) died at St James's Palace [Map]. His son George (age 41) succeeded 5th Earl Essex, 6th Baron Capell Hadham. Sarah Bazett Countess Essex (age 39) by marriage Countess Essex.

On 23rd April 1839 George Capell Coningsbury 5th Earl Essex (age 81) died. His nephew Arthur (age 36) succeeded 6th Earl Essex, 7th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 11th September 1892 Arthur Algernon Capell 6th Earl Essex (age 89) died. His grandson George (age 34) succeeded 7th Earl Essex, 8th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 25th September 1916 George Capell 7th Earl of Essex (age 58) died at his home Stanley House having been run over by a taxi. His son Algernon (age 32) succeeded 8th Earl Essex, 9th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 8th December 1966 Algernon George de Vere Capell 8th Earl of Essex (age 82) died. His son Reginald (age 60) succeeded 9th Earl Essex, 10th Baron Capell Hadham.

In 1981 Reginald George de Vere Capell 9th Earl of Essex (age 75) died. His third cousin once removed Robert (age 60) succeeded 10th Earl Essex, 11th Baron Capell Hadham.

On 18th June 2005 Robert Edward de Vere Capell 10th Earl of Essex (age 85) died. His son Frederick (age 61) succeeded 11th Earl Essex, 12th Baron Capell Hadham.

Baron Capell Tewkesbury (2nd Creation)

On 11th April 1692 Henry Capell 1st Baron Capell Tewkesbury (age 54) was created 1st Baron Capell Tewkesbury by King William III of England, Scotland and Ireland (age 41).

On 30th May 1696 Henry Capell 1st Baron Capell Tewkesbury (age 58) died at Chapelizod. Baron Capell Tewkesbury extinct.
