In 1675 Charles Fitzroy 1st Duke Southampton 2nd Duke Cleveland (age 12) was created 1st Duke Southampton, 1st Earl Chichester, 1st Baron Newbury by King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland (age 44).
On 9th September 1730 Charles Fitzroy 1st Duke Southampton 2nd Duke Cleveland (age 68) died. He was buried in the Duke of Ormonde Vault, King Henry VII Chapel, Westminster Abbey. His son William (age 32) succeeded 3rd Duke Cleveland, 2nd Duke Southampton, 3rd Earl of Southampton, 2nd Earl Chichester, 3rd Baron Nonsuch and 2nd Baron Newbury.
On 18th May 1774 William Fitzroy 3rd Duke Cleveland 2nd Duke Southampton (age 76) died. Duke Cleveland, Duke Southampton, Earl of Southampton, Earl Chichester, Baron Nonsuch and Baron Newbury extinct.
