On 3rd December 1666 James Stewart 1st Duke Cambridge (age 3) was created 1st Duke Cambridge by James, Duke of York (age 33). See Samuel Pepys' Diary 1666 December 06.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
On 25th October 1760 King George II of Great Britain and Ireland (age 76) died at Kensington Palace. His grandson George (age 22) succeeded III King Great Britain and Ireland. Duke Cambridge merged with the Crown.

In 1801 Adolphus Hanover 1st Duke Cambridge (age 26) was created 1st Duke Cambridge.
On 1st June 1818 Adolphus Hanover 1st Duke Cambridge (age 44) and Princess Augusta Hesse-Kassel Duchess Cambridge (age 20) were married. She by marriage Duchess Cambridge. The difference in their ages was 23 years. He the son of King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 79) and Charlotte Mecklenburg Strelitz Queen Consort England (age 74). They were second cousins. She a great granddaughter of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland.
On 8th July 1850 Adolphus Hanover 1st Duke Cambridge (age 76) died. His son Prince (age 31) succeeded 2nd Duke Cambridge.
On 17th March 1904 Prince George Hanover 2nd Duke Cambridge (age 84) died at Gloucester House without issue. Duke Cambridge extinct.

On 29th April 2011 William Prince of Wales (age 28) and Catherine Middleton Princess of Wales (age 29) were married. She by marriage Duchess Cambridge. He the son of King Charles III (age 62) and Diana Spencer Princess Wales.
Ralph Percy 12th Duke of Northumberland (age 54) and Isobel Jane Richard Duchess of Northumberland (age 52) attended.
