Around 1158 William of Blois 1st Earl Albemarle 1st Earl York (age 57) and Cecily Skipton Countess Aumale and York (age 20) were married. She by marriage Countess Albemarle, Countess York. The difference in their ages was 37 years. He the son of Stephen Blois Count Aumale and Hawise Mortimer Countess Aumale.

On 20th August 1179 William of Blois 1st Earl Albemarle 1st Earl York (age 78) died. His daughter Hawise succeeded 2nd Countess Albemarle. Earl York extinct. The succession of the Earldom of York is somewhat unclear; it may have been created for life only, or for male succession only.

After 3rd July 1190 William Forz 2nd Earl Albemarle and Hawise Blois 2nd Countess Albemarle and Essex were married. He by marriage Earl Albemarle 1C 1127. She the daughter of William of Blois 1st Earl Albemarle 1st Earl York and Cecily Skipton Countess Aumale and York.

On 11th March 1214 Hawise Blois 2nd Countess Albemarle and Essex died. Her son William succeeded 3rd Earl Albemarle 1C 1127.

On 26th March 1242 William Forz 3rd Earl Albemarle died. His son William succeeded 4th Earl Albemarle 1C 1127.

The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." He the son of Arnold Keppel 1st Earl Albermarle and Geertruid Johanna Quirina Van Der Duyn Countess Albermarle.

On 22nd December 1754 William Anne Keppel 2nd Earl Albermarle (age 52) died. His son George (age 30) succeeded 3rd Earl Albermarle, 3rd Viscount Bury in Lancashire, 3rd Baron Ashford of Ashford in Kent.

On 20th April 1770 George Keppel 3rd Earl Albermarle (age 46) and Anne Miller Countess Albermarle (age 44) were married at Yattendon Castle [Map]. She by marriage Countess Albermarle. He the son of William Anne Keppel 2nd Earl Albermarle and Anne Lennox Countess Albermarle (age 66).

On 13th October 1772 George Keppel 3rd Earl Albermarle (age 48) died. On 13th October 1772 His son William succeeded 4th Earl Albermarle, 4th Viscount Bury in Lancashire, 4th Baron Ashford of Ashford in Kent.

On 9th April 1792 William Charles Keppel 4th Earl Albermarle (age 19) and Elizabeth Southwell Countess Albermarle (age 16) were married. She by marriage Countess Albermarle. He the son of George Keppel 3rd Earl Albermarle and Anne Miller Countess Albermarle (age 66).

On 30th October 1849 William Charles Keppel 4th Earl Albermarle (age 77) died. His son Augustus (age 55) succeeded 5th Earl Albermarle, 5th Viscount Bury in Lancashire, 5th Baron Ashford of Ashford in Kent. Frances Steer Countess Albemarle by marriage Countess Albermarle.

On 15th March 1851 Augustus Frederick Keppel 5th Earl Albermarle (age 56) died at Chelsea. His brother George (age 51) succeeded 6th Earl Albermarle, 6th Viscount Bury in Lancashire, 6th Baron Ashford of Ashford in Kent.
