On 5th July 1635 Richard Boyle 2nd Earl Cork 1st Earl Burlington (age 22) and Elizabeth Clifford Countess Burlington (age 21) were married at Skipton Castle [Map]. She by marriage Countess Burlington. She the daughter of Henry Clifford 5th Earl of Cumberland (age 44) and Frances Cecil Countess Cumberland (age 42). He the son of Richard Boyle 1st Earl Cork (age 68) and Catherine Fenton Countess Cork.

In 1664 Richard Boyle 2nd Earl Cork 1st Earl Burlington (age 51) was created 1st Earl Burlington.

On 26th January 1688 Charles Boyle 2nd Earl Burlington (age 20) and Juliana Noel Countess Burlington (age 16) were married. She by marriage Countess Burlington. They were sixth cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry VII of England and Ireland.

On 15th January 1698 Richard Boyle 2nd Earl Cork 1st Earl Burlington (age 85) died. His grandson Charles (age 30) succeeded 2nd Earl Burlington.

On 9th February 1704 Charles Boyle 2nd Earl Burlington (age 36) died. His son Richard (age 9) succeeded 3rd Earl Burlington, 5th Baron Clifford.

On 21st March 1720 Richard Boyle 3rd Earl Burlington (age 25) and Dorothy Savile Countess Burlington (age 21) were married. She by marriage Countess Burlington. She the daughter of William Savile 2nd Marquess Halifax and Mary Finch Duchess Roxburghe (age 43). He the son of Charles Boyle 2nd Earl Burlington and Juliana Noel Countess Burlington (age 48). They were fourth cousin once removed.

On 4th December 1753 Richard Boyle 3rd Earl Burlington (age 59) died. Earl Burlington extinct. His daughter Charlotte (age 22) succeeded 6th Baroness Clifford.

Earl Burlington (2nd Creation)

In 1831 George Augustus Henry Cavendish 1st Earl Burlington (age 76) was created 1st Earl Burlington.

On 4th May 1834 George Augustus Henry Cavendish 1st Earl Burlington (age 80) died. His grandson William (age 26) succeeded 2nd Earl Burlington.

On 21st December 1891 William Cavendish 7th Duke Devonshire (age 83) died. He was buried at the Cavendish Plot, St Peter's Church, Edensor [Map]. His son Spencer (age 58) succeeded 8th Duke Devonshire, 11th Earl Devonshire, 3rd Earl Burlington, 11th Baron Cavendish Hardwick.

On 24th March 1908 Spencer Cavendish 8th Duke Devonshire (age 74) died of pneumonia at Hotel Metropol. His nephew Victor (age 39) succeeded 9th Duke Devonshire, 12th Earl Devonshire, 4th Earl Burlington, 12th Baron Cavendish Hardwick. On 28th March 1908 he was buried in the Cavendish Plot, St Peter's Church, Edensor [Map].

On 26th November 1950 Edward William Spencer Cavendish 10th Duke Devonshire (age 55) died. His son Andrew (age 30) succeeded 11th Duke Devonshire, 14th Earl Devonshire, 6th Earl Burlington, 14th Baron Cavendish Hardwick. Deborah Vivien Mitford Duchess Devonshire (age 30) by marriage Duchess Devonshire. On 24th December 1988 Mary Alice Gascoyne-Cecil Duchess Devonshire (age 55) died. Both the Duke and Duchess were buried in the Cavendish Plot, St Peter's Church, Edensor [Map].

On 3rd May 2004 Andrew Cavendish 11th Duke Devonshire (age 84) died. His son Peregrine (age 60) succeeded 12th Duke Devonshire, 15th Earl Devonshire, 15th Baron Cavendish Hardwick, 7th Earl Burlington. Amanda Carmen Heywood-Lonsdale Duchess of Devonshire (age 60) by marriage Duchess Devonshire.
