On 2nd April 1668 [his father] Peter II King Portugal (age 18) and Marie Françoise Élisabeth of Savoy Queen Consort of Portugal (age 21) were married. She had, two years before, married his older brother [his uncle] Alfonso VI King Portugal (age 24) who he, Peter, had deposed; an example of Married to Two Siblings. She the daughter of Charles Amadeus Duke of Nemours and Élisabeth Bourbon Vendôme. He the son of [his grandfather] John IV King Portugal and [his grandmother] Luisa de Guzman Queen Consort Portugal.
In 1687 [his father] Peter II King Portugal (age 37) and [his mother] Maria Sophia of Neuburg Queen Consort Portugal (age 20) were married. He the son of [his grandfather] John IV King Portugal and [his grandmother] Luisa de Guzman Queen Consort Portugal.
On 22nd October 1689 John V King Portugal was born to Peter II King Portugal (age 40) and Maria Sophia of Neuburg Queen Consort Portugal (age 23).
On 4th August 1699 [his mother] Maria Sophia of Neuburg Queen Consort Portugal (age 32) died.
On 9th December 1706 [his father] Peter II King Portugal (age 57) died. His son John (age 17) succeeded King Portugal.
On 4th December 1711 [his daughter] Barbara Queen Consort Spain was born to John V King Portugal (age 22).
On 6th June 1714 [his son] Joseph I King Portugal was born to John V King Portugal (age 24).
On 19th January 1729 a double wedding was conducted between two sets of brothers and sisters ....
[his son] Joseph I King Portugal (age 14) and [his daughter-in-law] Infante Mariana Victoria of Spain (age 10) were married. She the daughter of Philippe V King Spain (age 45) and Elisabeth Farnese Queen Consort Spain (age 36). He the son of John V King Portugal (age 39).
[his son-in-law] Ferdinand VI King Spain (age 15) and [his daughter] Barbara Queen Consort Spain (age 17) were married. She the daughter of John V King Portugal. He the son of Philippe V King Spain and Maria Luisa Savoy.
On 31st July 1750 John V King Portugal (age 60) died. His son [his son] Joseph (age 36) succeeded King Portugal.
