The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

On 22 Mar 1802 [his father]  (age 72) died at his house in Parnell aka Rutland Square. His son Du Pre Alexander 2nd Earl Caledon (age 24) succeeded 2nd Earl Caledon in County Tyrone. [his future wife]  (age 15) by marriage Countess Caledon in County Tyrone.

On 16 Oct 1811 Du Pre Alexander 2nd Earl Caledon (age 33) and (age 25) were married at St James' Church, Piccadilly. She the daughter of Philip Yorke 3rd Earl of Hardwicke (age 54) and Elizabeth Lindsay Countess Hardwicke (age 48). He the son of .

On 27 Jul 1812 [his son]  was born to Du Pre Alexander 2nd Earl Caledon (age 34) and [his wife]  (age 26).

On 06 Feb 1816 Charles Stuart 1st Baron Stuart de Rothesay (age 37) and [his sister-in-law] Elizabeth Yorke Lady Stuart (age 27) were married. She the daughter of Philip Yorke 3rd Earl of Hardwicke (age 58) and Elizabeth Lindsay Countess Hardwicke (age 52).
