Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

He married (1) 1013 Elvira González Queen Consort Leon and had issue (2) 2nd December 1022 his half first cousin Urraca Jiménez Queen Consort Leon, daughter of García Sánchez "Tremulous" II King Pamplona and Jimena Fernández Bermúdez Queen Consort Pamplona, and had issue.
In 995 [her father] García Fernández of Castile (age 57) died.
In 1013 [her son] Alfonso "Noble" V King Leon (age 19) and [her daughter-in-law] Elvira González Queen Consort Leon (age 17) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Leon. He the son of Bermudo "Gouty" II King Galicia II King Leon and Elviro Garcia Queen Galicia (age 35).
In 1017 Elviro Garcia Queen Galicia (age 39) died.
Bermudo "Gouty" II King Galicia II King Leon and Elviro Garcia Queen Galicia were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Leon, Queen Galicia. The difference in their ages was 25 years. He the son of King Ordoño III of Leon and Urraca González Queen Consort Leon Queen Consort Pamplona.
[her daughter] Theresa Astur Leonese was born to Bermudo "Gouty" II King Galicia II King Leon and Elviro Garcia Queen Galicia.
[her daughter] Sancha Astur Leonese was born to Bermudo "Gouty" II King Galicia II King Leon and Elviro Garcia Queen Galicia.
