Catherine Bertie: Around 1595 she was born to Peregrine Bertie 13th Baron Willoughby and Mary Vere Baroness Willoughby of Eresby. Sources are confused about her birth year stating she was born in 1610 and that she married in 1609. Date adjusted to around 1595 on the assumption she was married around twenty years of age. Her son died at six days old on 09 Feb 1610. Her father died in 1601. Sources also refer to her as Baroness Rockingham whereas she died some eleven years before her husband was created Baron Rockingham. In 1609 Lewis Watson 1st Baron Rockingham and she were married.

In Latin, round the edge of the tomb - "Hugh Chalmondeley of Chalmondeley the elder, Knight, Vice-Warden of the Welsh Marches, six times Sheriff died in his 83rd year AD 15961, and in this earth is buried. Also his son and heir Hugh Chalmondeley, Knight attaining the age of 50 departed this life AD 1601 and lies here. Also his2 wife Mary (age 42) who after the death of her husband, on account of her very dear affection for him, for love of him had this monument erected in AD 1605"
The amorials above the children appear to be Venables and Grosvenor. Hugh "The Younger" Cholmondeley daughters Frances (age 3) and Lettice (age 20) married Peter Venables Baron Kinderton and Richard Grosvenor 1st Baronet (age 19) respectively, suggesting the effigies may be Hugh "The Younger" Cholmondeley and Mary Holford.
