On 18th September 1556 Edward Courtenay 1st Earl Devon (age 29) died. His fourth cousin William (age 27) de jure 2nd Earl Devon. Elizabeth Paulett Countess Devon by marriage Countess Devon. John Trelawny of Poole in Cornwall (age 52) was one of his co-heirs.
On 8th February 1617 Edward Talbot 8th Earl of Shrewsbury (age 55) died. He was buried at Westminster Abbey [Map]. His fourth cousin George (age 50) succeeded 9th Earl of Shrewsbury, 9th Earl Waterford.

His fourth cousin Iain (age 25) succeeded 10th Duke Atholl, 11th Marquess Atholl, 12th Earl Atholl, 13th Earl Tullibardine, 6th Baron Glenlyon of Glenlyon in Perthshire. Baron Strange Knockin abeyant. His fourth cousin once removed Hugh (age 43) succeeded 9th Baron Percy.
On 4th September 1963 Charles Duncombe 3rd Earl Feversham (age 56) died. Earl Feversham extinct. His fourth cousin Charles (age 18) succeeded 6th Baron Feversham of Duncombe Park in Yorkshire.
On 21st August 1964 Edward Fox-Strangways 7th Earl of Ilchester (age 58) died without surviving male issue.
