Récits d’un bourgeois de Valenciennes aka The Chronicle of a Bourgeois of Valenciennes is a vivid 14th-century vernacular chronicle written by an anonymous urban chronicler from Valenciennes in the County of Hainaut. In October 1793 George Samuel Browne 8th Viscount Montagu (age 24) was drowned whilst trying to ride the Rhine Falls, Schaffhausen with his friend Charles Sedley Burdett with whom he was travelling. Given the Rhine Falls is 150 feet wide and 75 feet high, attempting to ride the falls in a fishing boat was not one of George's best ideas. His third cousin twice removed Mark (age 48) succeeded 9th Viscount Montagu.
On 27th September 1931 Robert Walpole 5th Earl Orford (age 77) died. Earl Orford extinct. His third cousin twice removed Robert (age 18) succeeded 7th Baron Walpole of Wollerton. Monument in Church of St Andrew, Wickmere [Map] sculpted by Esmond Burton (age 45). The stone brought from St Paul's Island in the Pacific where HMS Magaera, in which the Earl of Orford served as a midshipman, was wrecked in 1871. Armorials include

Robert Walpole 5th Earl Orford: On 10th July 1854 he was born to Frederick Walpole and Laura Sophia Frances Walpole. On 7th December 1894 Horatio Walpole 4th Earl Orford died. His nephew Robert succeeded 5th Earl Orford, 6th Baron Walpole of Wollerton.
Robert Walpole 9th and 7th Baron Walpole: On 25th April 1913 he was born to Lieutenant Horatio Spencer Walpole. In 1989 Robert Walpole 9th and 7th Baron Walpole died. His son Robert succeeded 8th Baron Walpole of Wollerton.








On 27th September 1950 George Henry Bowyer 9th and 5th Baronet (age 80) died. Baronet Bowyer of Radley extinct. His third cousin twice removed Bertram (age 22) succeeded 10th Baronet Bowyer of Denham Court.
On 24th May 1975 Edward Chichester 6th Marquess Donegal (age 71) died in Switzerland. His third cousin twice removed Dermot (age 59) succeeded 7th Marquess Donegal, 7th Baron Fisherwick of Fisherwick in Staffordshire, 5th Baron Templemore of Templemore in Donegal. In October 1991 Garnet Wolseley 12th Baronet (age 76) died. His third cousin twice removed James (age 54) succeeded 13th Baronet Wolseley of Mount Wolseley in County Carlow.
