Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall was born to Christopher Plunkett 8th Baron Killeen and Genet Dillon Baroness Killeen.

Before 1608 Jenico Preston 5th Viscount Gormanston (age 23) and [his future wife] Margaret St Lawrence Countess Fingall were married. She by marriage Viscountess Gormanston.

Before 9th June 1611 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall and Elizabeth O'Donnell were married.

After 9th June 1611 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall and Susanna Brabazon were married.

Before 29th January 1613 [his father] Christopher Plunkett 8th Baron Killeen (age 49) died. His son Luke succeeded 9th Baron Killeen.

Before 21st March 1628 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall and Eleanor Bagenal Countess Fingall were married.

On 26th September 1628 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall was created 1st Earl of Fingall. [his wife] Eleanor Bagenal Countess Fingall by marriage Countess of Fingall.

In 1637 [his son-in-law] John Talbot (age 29) and [his daughter] Catherine Plunkett were married. She the daughter of Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall and [his wife] Susanna Brabazon.

Before 29th March 1637 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall and Margaret St Lawrence Countess Fingall were married. She by marriage Countess of Fingall. They were half fourth cousins.

On 29th March 1637 Luke Plunkett 1st Earl of Fingall died. His son [his son] Christopher succeeded 2nd Earl of Fingall. [his daughter-in-law] Mabel Barnewall Countess Fingall by marriage Countess of Fingall.

On 16th November 1637 [his former wife] Margaret St Lawrence Countess Fingall died.

The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.
