Before October 1593 David Barry 5th Viscount Buttevant (age 43) and Ellen Roche Viscountess Buttivant were married. She by marriage Viscountess Buttevant. They were third cousins.
On 10th April 1617 David Barry 5th Viscount Buttevant (age 67) died at Barryscourt Castle. His grandson David (age 12) succeeded 6th Viscount Buttevant.
