Biography of King Magnus VI of Norway 1238-1290

On 1st May 1238 or 3rd May 1238 King Magnus VI of Norway was born to [his father] King Haakon IV of Norway [aged 34].

On 11th September 1261 King Magnus VI of Norway [aged 23] and Queen Ingeborg of Norway [aged 17] were married. She the daughter of King Eric IV of Denmark and Jutta of Saxony [aged 38]. He the son of King Haakon IV of Norway [aged 57].

On 16th December 1263 [his father] King Haakon IV of Norway [aged 59] died. His son Magnus [aged 25] succeeded King Norway.

In 1268 [his son] Eric II King Norway was born to King Magnus VI of Norway [aged 29] and [his wife] Queen Ingeborg of Norway [aged 24]. He married (1) 31st August 1281 his half fourth cousin once removed Margaret Dunkeld Queen Consort Norway, daughter of King Alexander III of Scotland and Margaret Queen of Scotland, and had issue (2) 1293 Isabel Bruce Queen Norway, daughter of Robert Bruce Earl Carrick and Marjorie Carrick 3rd Countess Carrick, and had issue.

On 10th April 1270 [his son] King Haakon V was born to King Magnus VI of Norway [aged 31] and [his wife] Queen Ingeborg of Norway [aged 26]. He married (1) 1295 Isabel Joigny (2) 1299 Euphemia of Rügen Queen Norway.

On 9th May 1280 King Magnus VI of Norway [aged 42] died. His son Eric [aged 12] succeeded King Norway.

On 24th March 1287 or 26th March 1287 [his former wife] Queen Ingeborg of Norway [aged 43] died.
