Biography of Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart 1725-1809

In January 180 Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart was created 1st Earl Castle Stewart in Tyrone.

On 29th August 1725 Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart was born to Robert Stewart 8th Baron Castle Stuart (age 25).

On 2nd March 1742 [his father] Robert Stewart 8th Baron Castle Stuart (age 41) died. His son Andrew (age 16) de jure 9th Baron Castle Stuart of County Tyrone.

In 1774 Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart (age 48) claimed the title 9th Baron Castle Stuart of County Tyrone by petitioning King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 35).

In 19th August 1784 [his son] Robert Stewart 2nd Earl Castle Stewart was born to Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart (age 58).

In 1793 Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart (age 67) was created 1st Viscount Castle Stewart in Tyrone. Sometimes written as Castlestewart.

The London Gazette 13609. From Tuesday 31st December 1793 to Saturday 4th January 1794.

To the Right Honorable Arthur Viscount Valentia (age 49), and the Heirs Male of his Body lawfuily begotten, the Dignity of Earl Mountnorris, of Mountnorris Castle, in the County of Armagh.

To the Right Honorable Andrew Thomas Lord Castlestewart (age 68), and the Heirs Male of his Body lawfully begotten, the Dignity of Viscount Castiestewart, in the County of Tyrone.

On 26th August 1809 Andrew Thomas Stewart 1st Earl Castle Stewart (age 83) died. His son [his son] Robert (age 25) succeeded 2nd Earl Castle Stewart in Tyrone, 2nd Viscount Castle Stewart in Tyrone, 10th Baron Castle Stuart of County Tyrone.
