Biography of Berengaria Ivrea I Queen Castile 1179-1246

He the son of [her grandfather] Sancho III King Castile and [her grandmother] Blanche Ramirez Queen Consort Castile. They were half fourth cousins.

In 1179 Berengaria Ivrea I Queen Castile was born to Alfonso VIII King Castile (age 23) and Eleanor Plantagenet Queen Consort Castile (age 17). She a granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

In 1216 [her brother] Henry I King Castile (age 11) and [her step-daughter] Sancha Ivrea Queen Consort Castile (age 25) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Castile.
