On 15th November 1347 Peter IV King Aragon (age 28) and [her sister-in-law] Eleanor Burgundy Queen Consort Aragon (age 19) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of [her father-in-law] Alfonso "Brave" IV King Portugal (age 56) and [her mother-in-law] Beatrice Ivrea Queen Consort Portugal (age 54). He the son of [her uncle] Alfonso IV King Aragon and Teresa Enteca Queen Consort Aragon. They were second cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 13th June 1348 [her father] Juan Manuel Prince of Villena (age 66) died.

Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke

Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 30th October 1348 [her sister-in-law] Eleanor Burgundy Queen Consort Aragon (age 20) died of plague. See Masearo, Condes de Barcelona, Volume 2, p. 274.

On 13th January 1349 Constanza Manuel (age 33) died.

In or before 1350 [her former husband] Peter I King Portugal (age 29) and Inês Castro (age 24) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Portugal. There is some uncertainty as to whether they were married. He announced their marriage in 1357 after he succeeded, and after her death, thereby ensuring their children were legitimate. He the son of [her former father-in-law] Alfonso "Brave" IV King Portugal (age 58) and [her former mother-in-law] Beatrice Ivrea Queen Consort Portugal (age 56).
