Paternal Family Tree: Wynn of Gwydir
In 1588 Richard Wynn 2nd Baronet was born to [his father] John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 35) and [his mother] Sidney Gerard.
In 1614 Richard Wynn 2nd Baronet (age 26) was elected MP Caernarfonshire.
In or before 1615 [his father] John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 61) and [his mother] Sidney Gerard were married. They had ten sons and two daughters.
On 7th March 1623 King Charles I of England, Scotland and Ireland (age 22), accompanied by George Villiers 1st Duke of Buckingham (age 30), Endymion Porter (age 36) and Richard Wynn 2nd Baronet (age 35), arrived in Madrid [Map], incognito, in an attempt to bring to a conclusion his betrothal to Maria Anna of Spain Holy Roman Empress (age 16), much to the surprise of her brother Philip IV King Spain (age 17) and the English ambassador John Digby 1st Earl Bristol (age 43). The negotiations ultimately failed.
On 1st March 1627 [his father] John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 74) died. His son Richard (age 39) succeeded 2nd Baronet Wynn of Gwydir.
In 1632 [his mother] Sidney Gerard died.
Before 19th July 1649 Richard Wynn 2nd Baronet (age 61) and Anne Darcy (age 55) were married.
On 19th July 1649 Richard Wynn 2nd Baronet (age 61) died without issue. His brother [his brother] Owen (age 57) succeeded 3rd Baronet Wynn of Gwydir.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed."
