On 15th January 1741 John Vaughan 2nd Viscount Lisburne (age 46) died. His brother Wilmot succeeded 3rd Viscount Lisburne and 3rd Baron Fethard of Feathered in Tipperary.

He married 2nd August 1798 his half fourth cousin once removed Lucy Courtenay Countess Lisburne, daughter of William Courtenay 8th Earl Devon and Frances Clack Countess Devon.
On 15th May 1792 [his son-in-law] Lawrence Palk 2nd Baronet (age 26) and [his daughter] Dorothy Elizabeth Vaughan (age 28) were married. She the daughter of Wilmot Vaughan 1st Earl Lisburne (age 64) and [his wife] Dorothy Shafto Countess Lisburne (age 59).
On 2nd August 1798 [his son] John Vaughan 3rd Earl Lisburne (age 29) and [his daughter-in-law] Lucy Courtenay Countess Lisburne (age 28) were married. She the daughter of William Courtenay 8th Earl Devon and Frances Clack Countess Devon. He the son of Wilmot Vaughan 1st Earl Lisburne (age 70) and [his wife] Dorothy Shafto Countess Lisburne (age 65). They were half fourth cousin once removed.
On 6th January 1800 Wilmot Vaughan 1st Earl Lisburne (age 72) died. His son Wilmot (age 44) succeeded 2nd Earl Lisburne, 3rd Viscount Lisburne. The second Earl Lisburne was incurably insane, and his estates were placed in the hands of trustees.
On 12th September 1805 [his former wife] Dorothy Shafto Countess Lisburne (age 72) died.
