On 5th December 1804 Nathaniel Curzon 1st Baron Scarsdale (age 78) died. His son Nathaniel (age 52) succeeded 2nd Baron Scarsdale, 6th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 6th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia. Félicité Anne Josephe de Wattines Lady Scarsdale (age 39) by marriage Baroness Scarsdale.

On 27th January 1837 Nathaniel Curzon 2nd Baron Scarsdale (age 84) died. His son Nathaniel (age 56) succeeded 3rd Baron Scarsdale, 7th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 7th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia.

On 12th November 1856 Nathaniel Curzon 3rd Baron Scarsdale (age 75) died. His nephew Alfred (age 25) succeeded 4th Baron Scarsdale, 8th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 8th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia. Blanche Pocklington Senhouse Baroness Scarsdale (age 19) by marriage Baroness Scarsdale.

On 23rd March 1916 Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon 4th Baron Scarsdale (age 84) died. His son George (age 57) succeeded 5th Baron Scarsdale, 9th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 9th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia.

On 2nd January 1917 George Nathaniel Curzon 1st Marquess Kedleston (age 57) and Grace Elvina Hinds Marchioness Curzon Kedleston (age 31) were married. She by marriage Baroness Ravensdale of Ravensdale in Derbyshire, Baroness Scarsdale. The difference in their ages was 26 years.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." On 2nd August 2000 Francis Curzon 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (age 76) died. His son Peter (age 51) succeeded 4th Viscount Scarsdale of Scarsdale in Derbyshire, 8th Baron Scarsdale, 12th Baronet Curzon of Kedleston in Derbyshire, 12th Baronet Curzon of Nova Scotia.
