On 10th April 1258 [his father] Walter Fitzrobert [aged 54] died at Woodham Walter, Essex.

In 1259 Robert Fitzwalter 1st Baron Fitzwalter [aged 12] and Devorgille Burgh [aged 3] were married. They were fifth cousins. He a great grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

After 11th May 1262 [his mother] Ida II Longespée [deceased] died at Salisbury.

In 1275 [his daughter] Christiana Fitzwalter Baroness Marshal was born to Robert Fitzwalter 1st Baron Fitzwalter [aged 28] and [his wife] Devorgille Burgh [aged 19] at Henham, Essex. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She married in or before 1292 her fifth cousin William Marshal 1st Baron Marshal and had issue.

Before 11th March 1290 Robert Fitzwalter 1st Baron Fitzwalter [aged 43] and Eleanor Ferrers Baroness Fitzwalter were married. She the daughter of Robert Ferrers 6th Earl of Derby and Eleanor Bohun Countess Derby [aged 47]. They were half third cousin twice removed. 22nd July 1298 Battle of Falkirk

                    On 22nd July 1298 King Edward I of England [aged 59] defeated the Scottish army led by William Wallace during the 22nd July 1298 Battle of Falkirk at Falkirk [Map] using archers to firstly attack the Scottish shiltrons with the heavy cavalry with infantry completing the defeat.
